These lamps are brilliantly simple. Chrome styling helps but mainly it’s because of the addition of a VERY heavy base which makes it weigh alot. This makes it feel more luxurious and akin to the very expensive lamp. You feel like you are getting alot for your money as you lug the heavy box out of the shop.

We're going to file this under "on the fence" for the time being, because, though we love the shape, we don't really get why it's made of porcelain. To us, lamps have always made more sense when the light can make it through the shade, but perhaps we're missing the point here.
We're also not quite sure why it's $950. But we like the color, and think if it was done in some type of see-through acrylic it would be really cool.
